How It Works

What is RADAR?+

RADAR is a stock portfolio tracking and social investing platform. Connect with other investors, track your holdings in real time, follow public portfolios, and access market data — all in one terminal-style app.

How does portfolio tracking work?+

Add your holdings (symbol, shares, average cost) and RADAR fetches live market data to compute your real-time portfolio value, P&L, and performance metrics. No brokerage connection is required — you enter trades manually.

Is my data safe?+

Your account is secured through Clerk authentication. Portfolio data is stored in an encrypted Supabase database. We never share your personal financial information with third parties without your consent. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

What devices does RADAR support?+

RADAR is available as an iOS app and a web app at radarhq.xyz. An Android version is planned for a future release.

Subscriptions

What's included in RADAR Pro?+

RADAR Pro unlocks advanced portfolio analytics, real-time price alerts, the full market scanner with custom criteria, priority data refresh intervals, and access to the exclusive Pro community feed.

How do I cancel my subscription?+

On iOS: go to iPhone Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → RADAR, then tap Cancel Subscription. On the web: manage your subscription through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Can I restore a previous purchase?+

Yes. In the RADAR iOS app, go to Settings → Restore Purchases. This will recover any active subscription tied to your Apple ID.

Is there a free trial?+

When available, a free trial period may be offered on the upgrade screen within the app. Trial availability depends on your Apple ID history with RADAR.

What payment methods are accepted?+

On iOS, payment is handled by Apple through your Apple ID. All major cards and Apple Pay are accepted through that system. RADAR never sees or stores your payment information directly.

Account

How do I change my username?+

Go to Settings → Change Handle within the app. Usernames must be 3–30 characters, lowercase, and contain only letters, numbers, and underscores. Note that changing your handle will break any existing links to your public profile.

How do I delete my account?+

Go to Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account. You will be asked to confirm twice. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

What happens to my data when I delete my account?+

All of your data — portfolio holdings, posts, comments, follows, and account information — is permanently deleted from our servers. This process begins immediately and is irreversible.

Market Data

Where does RADAR get its market data?+

RADAR uses market data from Alpaca, Finnhub, and Alpha Vantage. Data is cached in our systems to improve performance and reduce latency.

How often is price data updated?+

During market hours, quote data refreshes every 30 seconds in the app. Portfolio values update in near real time when you view them. Some data (like fundamentals and dividends) is cached for longer periods.

Is this financial advice?+

No. RADAR is an informational and educational tool only. Nothing in the app constitutes financial advice, investment advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any security. Always consult a licensed financial advisor before making investment decisions.

Privacy

Who can see my portfolio?+

By default, your portfolio is private — only you can see it. You can change this in Settings → Privacy to allow followers or the public to view your holdings.

Can I appear on the leaderboard?+

The leaderboard is opt-in. Enable it in Settings → Privacy → Leaderboard. You can opt out at any time.

Does RADAR sell my data?+

No. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we use your information.
